My last day at home was very...odd, but in a good way. I expected to spend the whole day chillin' with a bunch of 15 year-olds because Em was having an N64 day with her pals and they needed "adult" supervision. While that did happen I had a slight mishap in the morning involving a pop-top can of ravioli (don't judge me for wanting ravioli before noon). Two hours and three stitches later, my right thumb became a tinsy bit incapacitated. But no worries, only six more days before I can use it again. The biggest hassel with having stitches in your thumb is not being able to get it wet. Needless to say, my appreciation for my right thumb has greatly increased.
A couple of good things came out of the day. 1) Kaity-poo had a difficult Sunday and worrying about my thumb helped distract her from her situation. (and she got out of work for it, you're welcome.) 2) I got to see an old friend who I didn't think I would get to see because she was in Isreal. I loved laughing with her about how gimpy both of us were (she has a pinched nerve, I have stitches. She wins).
